Sean was educated at UCE Birmingham, BA (Hons) Architecture and at Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, DipArch (UCL).

Sean joined Jestico + Whiles in 2001, and since that time has been based in Prague where he is responsible for Jestico + Whiles’ operations in the Czech Republic and across Central and Eastern Europe.

The Prague office was established in 1990 and now boasts 22 people with a wide variety of international experience, and has architectural and interior design commissions for master planning, hotel, residential, offices and mixed leisure projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Germany, Austria, Croatia, India, Pakistan and Tanzania all under Sean’s management.

Having completed many unique and award-winning international architectural and interior design commissions for a variety of building types, Sean has particularly broad international skills and experience for projects up to £250 Million. Jestico + Whiles have completed a wide variety of high profile hotel projects including the renown One Aldwych in London, The Hempel, the Adriana and Riva Hotels on the island of Hvar in Croatia, a selection of hotels for Hilton and Intercontinental including the Intercontinental tower in Warsaw, the Sheraton in Prague, Andel’s Manufaktura in Lodz, Andel’s Krakow, the Ultra-Chic Yas Hotel on the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 racing circuit, and more recently the Adria and W Hotel London.

Sean also led the design of the award-winning 5 star Pokrovka Suite Hotel in Moscow. The hotel has 84 suites, with each suite category featuring a unique colour scheme and layout. The hotel has been described as the best 5 star hotel in Moscow and was awarded the Best Hotel in Russia.

Sean has a particular passion for both site-specific and sustainable design and has recently completed groundbreaking master plans in Prague, Moscow, and Omsk for mixed-use communities incorporating over 2.5 million square metres of built area with unique solutions for a variety of public and private spaces.

He is currently responsible for the 5 star luxury Zuri Hotel Resort on the Island of Zanzibar. The project includes full Architecture, Engineering, Landscape and Interior Design of a beautiful 14Ha barefoot luxury beach resort, incorporating a 5 star boutique hotel with 2 restaurant experiences, 3 bars, a spa and swimming pool all set within lush Zanzibari spice gardens.
